The humble hashtag. A staple of our daily social media scrolls. As we turn to platforms like Instagram more than ever during this difficult and unprecedented time, our brands have been using hashtags in clever, unique ways to grab our attention and spread positivity.

Here, we explore some of the creative hashtag campaigns our brands are behind.

#SoñamosJuntos

Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Glamour, AD and Condé Nast Traveler have collectively created a hashtag #SoñamosJuntos, which translates as ‘Dreaming Together’. Running throughout the content of all brands in their May issues, the hashtag aims to spread a message of hope.

At a time when readers look more than ever to the media for companionship and inspiration, as well as to feel connected to their communities, the teams at Condé Nast Spain’s titles have adapted to this situation.

Natalia Gamero del Castillo, CEO of Condé Nast Spain, explains the strength that has driven this project: “In our May issues, which come to light in a different and strange world, we wanted to recover our ability to dream like a balcony that looks out over our memories and evokes their beauty. For the first time under a common slogan, “Dreaming Together”, the six titles of Condé Nast Spain – Vogue, Vanity Fair, Traveler, GQ, Glamour and AD -, each from their own perspective and with their own voice, write a love letter to the world, remembering all that is worth fighting for and appealing to those features of humanity that are now more necessary than ever.”

#Litaliasiamonoi

Vanity Fair Italy is behind the hashtag #litaliasiamonoi which means ‘We are Italy’. The hashtag’s aim is to celebrate the Italian unity and creativity which have always allowed the country to make the best of the worst situations it has endured in the course of its history.

Then #VFQuarantineStories is the hashtag used to describe a series of talks and performances featuring the biggest names from the art, culture and show business industries. #VFQuarantineStories gives a voice to these protagonists, but in a way that is forcedly different from the dimension of isolation in which we are all living. The hashtag wants to tell the stories of how these well-known faces are adapting to this “new normal”. The schedule of #VFQuarantineStories will continue over the coming weeks, so follow the hashtag now.
